Schwinn Katana Road Bike Review

This is one of the most amazing road bikes on the market today.

When buying an entry level road bike that won’t break the bank, the Schwinn Katana road bike is a clear winner. This bike has an ultra light aluminum frame which reduces the weight and enables more speed. Some of the other features are a 14 speed drive train for choosing the correct gear for any uphill or downhill ride and an A050 rear derailer. The Schwinn Katana also has Tru-Vativ Iso Flow Alloy Cranks and custom paired spoke wheels for style. If you are interested in buying this bike, I highly recommend you buy it at Amazon through this link. They include FREE shipping.

Let’s take a look at the features of the Katana

Entry-level road bike with ultra-light aluminum frame

14-speed Shimano drivetrain and shifters with A050 rear derailleur

Tru-Vativ IsoFlow alloy cranks; alloy wheels and paired spokes

Ideal for morning commutes or casual city riding

Frame comes in 54 or 58 cm sizes

Overall, fit is the most important aspect when buying a bicycle. The better the fit to the rider, the more often it will be used because of less strain on the back and shoulders. The Katana comes in two adult sized frames of 54cm and 58cm. To determine which of these is the best size for a cyclist, the rider must be measured. While standing barefoot, measure the inseam in inches. Multiply the inseam by .65 for bicycles that are measured center to center and choose closest size in centimeters. In choosing a bicycle that is measured from center to top, multiply the inseam by .67 and choose the closest size in centimeters. The correct size is extremely important for long rides and this issue is addressed with the Katana.

Schwinn also created a winner with the Katana road bike in that it is so simple to assemble. The consumer only has to attach the front brakes, seat post, front wheel, handlebars and peddles and can be on the road in a matter of minutes.

If you want to buy this bike, you can get it cheapest through Amazon at this link. Includes free shipping!

The Schwinn Katana road bicycle is the best value for its price in the ultra light class.

Schwinn Volare 700c Road Bike – A great bike to get you around town.

Most people own bicycles for transportation, but other own bikes for fun – something the Schwinn Volare 700c bicycle delivers. If you are looking for a bicycle that will get you to your destination in style and comfort while making the trip enjoyable, take a look at the 700c. Want to buy the Schwinn Volare? You can get it cheapest at Amazon here – comes with FREE shipping.

The Volare 700c will fit riders between 5’ 7” and 6’ 1” in height. It features a Shimano derailleur with twenty one speeds, so you know you will get long-lasting gear shifts. The stand-over height is 27.75 inches over an 18 inch frame. A Schwinn flat bar aluminum road frame completes the solid 700c bicycle package.

The Good

A surprisingly light bike. You really don’t expect it either.

As smooth as a ride can get.

Can compete with bikes in the $450-$500 at a fraction of the cost.

The Bad

A little bit difficult to setup. Not too difficult but just enough to annoy you a little bit.

Seat is pretty hard lol. You can get use to it though.

I have personally owned bicycles ranging from a $60 Huffy to a $500 Cannondale and all I can say is that quality makes a huge difference. In fact, I ended up throwing (literally) the Huffy after getting so angry at easily bendable gear teeth. I was able to get up enough strength to actually bend the flimsy gears in an attempt to ride the bike.

The Schwinn is very light and durable!
You will not see that problem in the Schwinn Volare 700c. First off, the 700c is a road bike. That means that it is built with a lightweight frame and thinner wheels. The large number of gears makes an easy riding experience easier as you attempt to tackle flat and hilly terrain.

And I’m not the only positive reviewer you will find. One reviewer states that he has fallen in love with the high-quality Shimano gear shifters. Another reviewer who had switched from a clunky, cheap mountain bike to the Schwinn Volare 700c talked about her very positive experience with the smooth ride and gear shifting.

The best part about it – it’s very affordable!
Arguably the best part about the Volare 700c is the price tag – $300 on Amazon.com through this link. Sure, you can find a lot of used, expensive brands at that price, but you will get the Volare 700c brand new. Remember that repairing an expensive bike is an expensive process. You still have to buy high-cost parts and specialized labor. The 700c puts that problem to rest.

Get a Schwinn Volare 700c – you won’t regret it.

The Schwinn Prelude Men’s Road Bike is an excellent and durable bike for the affordable price that it is. This bike comes with the quality you’ve come to expect from Schwinn at an inexpensive cost, and it doesn’t leave out any of the features and accents you find normally on much more expensive bikes. It comes with very smooth riding 700c wheels. It also features a quick release for the front wheel. If you want to buy this bike, it is currently on sale for $70 off at Amazon through this link.

Let’s take a look at the Schwinn Prelude’s features:

Men’s road bike with comfortable and responsive 700c wheels

Lightweight and durable aluminum frame and Schwinn road-bend bar and stem

Shimano A050 7-speed shifters for up- and downhill adjust ability

Promax dual-pivot caliper brakes for sure stopping power

Aero 36-spoke alloy wheels with radial-laced front toe clips and straps

The frame is lightweight and aluminum while utilizing a road bend bar and stem. Not to mention, it has an alloy road crank for maintaining maximum balance and this helps with alignment. This men’s touring bike is very easy to handle and comes with Shimano A050 7-speed shifters for adjusting to down or uphill rides. It also features Promax dual-pivot caliper brakes to ensure safe and reasonable stopping ability.

The Aero 36-spoke alloy wheels and radial-laced front toe clips and straps just add to the overall quality and good buy that this bike is for its listed price. This bike is recommended for males ages 12 and up. The ideal body frame for a bike of this size and weight is someone between the height of 5′ft 7′in and 6′ft 2′ in to ride comfortably. Assembly is required.

Looking to buy this bike? You can get it cheapest on Amazon here.

This is a very reasonable and reliable entry level road bike that is good for either the novice or experienced road rider. It is very comfortable and a lot of fun to ride because of how it feels like just an extension of your body. If you are considering this bike as a current or future purchase, it probably is your best buy in this category.
